Fall Colors in Poudre Canyon

Last Sunday, DH and I took a drive up Poudre Canyon, in the north part of the Colorado Rockies, to view the fall colors.  We saw lots of wonderful stands of golden yellow/orange/red aspen leaves.  I saw bunches of views where I would have liked to snap a photo or two, but it seemed like the pull-offs were always in the wrong place on the road!  I did get a few shots....

Here's a shot of the mountain side.  Pretty, huh?

And one more....

One last photo....

A couple days after this, the mountains had a snow storm.  So, don't know how many of the leaves are left now.  Down here on the plains, we have had much cooler temperatues the past couple days, as well as lots of wind.  Luckily no snow so far!  I am NOT ready for winter!

Happy Stitching!

Very pretty Aspens! They always have such great color. We should be getting some color this month. Just had our 1st frost, so it will start soon!
